Four things spotted this week that are worth your time.
“Half of Silicon Valley talks about taste now the way sommelier hobbyists talk about terroir.” Taste is a thing right now that people are talking about. Is it the great human moat? Is it trend fodder for Silicon Valley types? How can taste be monetized…even more? Here’s a nice little piece with some really sharp writing and thinking about this taste thing. I love what the New York Times is doing with video right now. This Interview account is a great example of turning a strong print feature into a strong video property. The interview with Maggie Gyllenhaal talking about directing her husband in Lost Daughter is the perfect example.
One of the projects I’m most proud of at The Aspen Institute is Leading Voices, our social video series featuring conversations with leaders about their journeys and what shapes their approach to leadership. Now, it’s got a home on the site.
